This is probably Brandy's best song up to this point. She's
actually aquating her lyrics to the cosmos, not an uncommon idea
in the least bit but the song is at least innovative from a purely instrumental perspective.A clutch of synthesizers burst out in unison at the songs chorus-Brandy's voice multi-tracked-
so it gives just the right ammount of drama without making the
song overdone. In 2001 I wasn't hearing anything half as interesting on Top 40 pop radio, except the unexplained middle
eastern melodic influences I heard in some of Destiny's Child's
work of that vintage. So all of those out there who believe all
contemporary R&B is dullsville keep an open mind;as the saying
goes the Earth has music for those who listen and 'Full Moon'
is certainly worth more then one!A review of Brandy's CD of
the same title will follow shortly.
I bought this maxi single back in August when it came out and all I can say it is the absolute best maxi-CD single ever made, and this is from someone who owns at least 50 maxi-CDs and has heard several others! The remixes are all amazing except for tracks 2 and 3 that feature Fat Joe and Twista. Really though, you get 10 absolutely amazing, thrilling, fantastic single/club remixes of one of the best songs ever put out on the radio in the last year. This is a really amazing CD that I'm sure many Brandy fans have neglected to acquire. What a big mistake they are making. This is one amazing buy!
Full Moon is probably my favorite song by Brandy. The vocals are beautiful, and the beats are impeccable. You can't go wrong with a choice of 12 different remixes! Each one is fresh, funky and hot! All of the mixes are great for working out, dancing, chilling, whatever. Usually I'm not a fan of the so-called "club mixes" but these ones are off the chain! And kudos to whoever did the album artwork design, it is wonderful! This EP is seriously good to anyone, newcomers of Brandy and die-hard fans alike!
