- Surprise Album of the Year?
Back in 1998, Brandy was sittin' on top of the world, with multi-platinum albums, starring roles in movies, and her own sitcom. Much has changed over the course of that time, but Brandy has remained relatively active on the music scene, but she was unable to match the success of that 1998 album "Never Say Never." Part of tha has been due to the long gap between her albums, and true to form, it has been several long years since her previous album dropped. So here we are all of a sudden, a full decade later, and Brandy sounding more accomplished and seasoned than ever; her music never had embraced the foolishness of the boy and girl band era, nor did her style fit that of those who thought it wise to record ballad after ballad featuring some gangsta rapper doing background vocals. Rather, Brandy has perservered, actually coming up with a set of hooks that not only equal but exceed those of "Never Say Never."
The smooth balladry of "True" and the title track "Human" give only a glimpse of what she can do; the fantastic lead-off single "Right Here (Departed)" and the closing track "Fall" are the highlights of the set, showcasing a wide display of melodic range, with dead-on vocals, including the harmony. Perhaps she has even made Darkchild a better songwriter by delivering such empassioned performances - he has not come up with a set of hooks like this in a long time (maybe not ever before now).
In closing, with the shelf-life of a female pop star being as short as it is (J.Lo and Hilary Duff have already come and gone in the time since Brandy's debut), it is truly refreshing to see an artist mature to the point at which everything comes together in one career-defining moment (or in this case, almost a full hour of music). One listen to the stunning a capella portion of "Something's Missing" is enough to convince me that there is a long term future ahead of this bright and somehow still unbelievably young talent. For all those critics who have said that Brandy has had difficulty finding her own sound in the past, take note of the fact that Brandy has responded by taking on about three different types of sounds, and mastered them all. She has finally arrived!

- One of the most ORIGINAL albums ive heard in a while
Brandy gives you an album this time around different from any other album shes made or created.I can honestly say that i've never heard this kind of music from any other "r&b" artist in the past ten years. This album gives you a sense of what originality means.Human takes you on a journey through pop,r&b,country, jazz, and ballads...its an amzing production and its definitly relatable.
HIGHLIGHTS:even though the entire album is amazing
The Definition
Piano Man(a song that has never been done b4)
Human(unbelieveable vocals)
True(beautiful ballad)
A Capella[somethings missing](brandy is making the beat with her own voice and singing over them-amazing)
Fall(guarenteed single)
...along with the releases Right Here(Departed) and Long Distance
give it a chance if your ready for real original music

- Brandy's Back...And This Time, She Means Business
As someone who has grown up listening to Brandy and her ever-changing style, this album shocked me in ways I never deemed possible. Not only is it a great album, but it might be a contender amongst the top releases of this year. And I am so glad that I have it in my possession.
So many critics stomped ruthlessly on "Afrodisiac," the last studio album released from her back in 2004. It was only right for Brandy to come back stronger and fiercer for "Human." The anticipation of for Brandy's 5th studio album built up from the release of "Right Here (Departed)." From the instant this song hit the airwaves, I knew it meant a triumphant return to Brandy and her melodic alto voice. Every track shows a rather humongous growth in her as an artist and shows that Brandy is an artist to NEVER be underestimated.
5 Stars for the return of Brandy and her album "Human." The wait was well worth it!

- A Comback? Brandy You Were Always Right Here!
A phenominal artist, Brandy comes back strong with vocals that will tug at your heart strings, and lyrics that help you get through the day. Back with Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins, the albums songs are layered with Brandy's weathered voice and Drakchild's infectious piano beats. She once again proves that quality is what music's about, and she ain't bowing down to anyone to appease them as she declares in "Camoflage".
Standout tracks include "Warm it Up with Love", "Right Here Departed", "Piano Man", "Shattered Heart", "1st and Love", "True", "Fall" and "Long Distance".
Radio friendly tracks: "Fall", "Piano Man"
We are glad Brandy's is back. She has helped redefine R&B and infused pop with the much needed soul that it lacks. She has us pleading now to see what she has in store for her next album. I give this album a 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Wow!!! This is a definition of a real rnb album with heart, emotion, and talent. First off I've always had an appreciation for Brandy's vocal talents, but they have grown to new levels on this album. The harmonies, melodies, lyrics, and themes of this album are nothing less than flawless.
Favorite Tracks:
Human - WOW!!!
Acapella - ditto!! (Brandy lets her vocals do the work in creating this masterpiece)
Shattered Heart
Piano Man - Creative melody and lyrics.
If you are a vocalist and appreciate great music, GO AND BUY THIS ALBUM ASAP!!!
