The incredible thing about this collection is that it virtually has the entire track listing from Bonnie's 3 albums "Faster Than the Speed of Night," "Secret Dreams and Forbidden Fire," and the impossible to get on CD otherwise "Notes from America."
But there are some catches. For starters, the first 2 albums, both produced by Jim Steinman, are not in the same playing order as they were on their own separate CDs (the tracks are interspersed), and Secret Dreams concludes on disc 2. The good news is that all the long CD versions of songs from Secret Dreams are included (the original CD had some songs that were longer than they appeared on the vinyl LP). The WEIRD news is that ONE song from Faster than the Speed of Night has been included in its single version instead of its epic full length version--that song being "Total Eclipse of the Heart"!!! WHY? And even weirder, this is totally NOT a `greatest hits' CD considering it is missing her huge hit It's a Heartache. It's really just a collection of her 3 1980s albums, so why then do they include ONE song from her 1991 album Bitterblue (the title track)? It seems very out of place here, and omitting it would have made it possible to just include the full length version of Total Eclipse of the Heart.
Notes from America is completely in the original track order on CD2 (tracks 5 - 14). Also included is the song "Here She Comes", which was original on the Metropolis soundtrack, but it's slightly edited (about 20 seconds shorter).
