Disco de Boney M.: “Christmas Album”

This album is a classic. It's appeal lies in the fact that it includes everyone's favorites, but has a distinct Carribean flavor. Unlike most artists who try unsuccessfully to combitione both traditional and original characteristics when recording Christamas music, Boney M gives us the best of both worlds. I grew up with it and I look forward to listening to it every Chrismas (although I usually listen to it throughout the year too!) Highly recommended, guaranteed to become one of you favorites too.

This has been my favorite Christmas music collection since around 1986 when I originally got the music on cassette tape. I play it incessantly every Christmas. It is upbeat, inspiring, beautiful. The harmony can't be beat. Mary's Boy Child is my favorite of the favorites! It finally occurred to me to see if it is available on CD so naturally I looked here first - I'm so *glad* to find it! If you're looking for familiar Christmas music in different, very wonderful renditions, this is definitely it!

We play all Christmas music right now on my radio station and this song, Mary's Boy Child, receives more requests than any other selection on our play list. Everyone is enchanted with the unqiue rthymn and they know the lyrics quickly. bony m is a good guarantee to perk up your holiday spirit.

This is a great CD. I've had the record album for 18 years and play it anytime of the year and I will be doing the same with the CD. Boney M is not known that well known in the States and wish they could be heard by more people. They are a wonderful group and their Christmas Album is a must have.

I start playing Christmas music right after Halloween, and I have every Christmas album on the market. Boney M's version of Mary's Boy Child is one of my absolute favorites. It has an upbeat tempo but still brings tears to my eyes every time I play it. If you consider yourself a Christmas music aficionado than you must add this album to your collection.
