- Barenaked Gods
"The creditcard receipts, the dirty sheets, souveniers of men who cheat."
Sublime, just incredible.
The lyrics, the music...
Their absolute best work since Gordon.
I can't wait for the next...

- Everyone should have one!
Maroon is an excellent cd by the best live band ever, the Barenaked Ladies. After the first few plays, you really begin to see the meaning in the songs as well as enjoy the music. Pinch me includes some of Ed Robinson's infamous rapping. Too Little Too Late and Tonight is the Night I Fell Asleep at the Wheel really get under your skin after a while. All the others are just really good songs. Buy it and see for yourself. Also try and see them live - absolutely brilliant :)

- The Barenaked Ladies Strike Again!!
The Barenaked Ladies deliver with "Maroon", their fifth album and next to Stunt, probably the best. The best part about Maroon is the different kind of songs that are on it: fast ones, slow ones, serious ones, fun ones, etc...The album opens with "Too Little Too Late", a fast paced song that one cannot help but bop to. Songs like "Conventioneers" (which, actually is my least favorite song on the album), bonus track "Hidden Sun" and "Off the Hook" are slower, and of course, the smash hit "Pinch Me". Also, the Barenaked Ladies write their songs so that they're somewhat open to interpretation, which is good. Listeners can stay at the surface and just listen for the wit and humor of the songs, or they can peel away at the layers and uncover common human emotions. For example, in the song "Tonight is the Night I Fell Asleep at the Wheel", the line "You're the last thing that's on my mind" plays repetitively. The listener can decide what this means to him or her, whether it means he's not thinking about her at all, or whether it means she was the last thing he was thinking about before he died. I would recommomend this album to, of course, all Barenaked Ladies fans and those music-lovers who just want to have a CD they can relax to, party to, and just about anything else because the diversity of this album is amazing.
