- I never had MTV - poor little me!

For all you poor folks who never had cable (including me), you now have a chance to see the BNL video treasure trove. Probably the best moments are explaining who the girl is in "Alternative Girlfriend," why John and Yoko love the Ladies and how "The Old Apartment" got made by a well-connected BNL fan. As usual, the best part (besides seeing the videos, if you haven't) is their remarks- that is, commentary - on what was going on, what the original intention was and how it (mostly) ended up in flames by the time the video got made. These guys don't take themselves seriously, but if you've followed them for the last eleven years like I have- you know that these guys are for real. Though they joke a lot, they've got something to say and aren't afraid to cross Yoko Ono. What more could you ask for?

- Finnally!

We never got BNL video's down here in Australia, so I knew the band only from there music the odd QuickTime of there video's & there enhanced CD's.

The Ladies are a rare breed & one of the few bands or artists out there that I will buy any of their products without reservations. They always have been extremely high quality in all aspects of the bands persona & this DVD is no different.

It was great to finally see there video's & I really loved all of them to be honest. The DVD is a good watch like any music DVD. The DVD itself is well made, easy to navigate & sounds great to, as you would expect.

This DVD comes into it's own when you watch the bands commentaries on each of the video's. It was a great way to know more about the band its dynamics & the history. They also had me rolling round with laughter; they are honestly very funny & genuine people.

I highly recommend this DVD to any BNL fan or anyone that wants to see some interesting visuals to some great music.

- Excellent supplement for all BNL fans...

After 10 years of music and videos, the Canadian band Barenaked Ladies has finally released a compilation of all of their music videos as well as some concert footage. The commentary by the band couldn't get any more hilarious and the live clips are astounding as the band puts on some of the best shows around. The music videos, often funny, are also a treat because we see how the band evolved and changed from their first hit "Lovers in a Dangerous Time" to their big smash "One Week" to their new single "Thanks that was Fun." And did I mention the commentary is hilarious?

- It's not "Too Little Too Late".

Last year I wrote a review of the DVD Maxi-Single BNL released with one minor concern. It was too short. The title seemed appropriate for such a great band. Well, now I can shut up and watch a much longer Ladies disk.

It's all here folks. The songs that the new fans recognize from current rotation on MTV, and the old faves I enjoyed years ago. Seeing the older videos almost seemed like flipping through an old photo album for my wife and me. It's nearly complete.

Now that BNL has a new album coming out (October, 2003) ot would be a great time for anyone to pick up this compliation and get aquainted with the most musically adept, personable and straight out fun bands to ever come out of Canada.

Buy and enjoy!.

- a lot of fun

the best part of this dvd is the commentary that the ladies provide to go along with their videos. however unless you are a fan of them you may not quite get it.
