Disco de Baha Men: “Who Let the Dogs Out”
Descripción (en inglés) :
This is an Enhanced CD, which contains both regular audio tracks and multimedia computer files. <p>Baha Men: Marvin Prosper, Rick Carey, Omerit Hield (vocals). <p>Additional personnel includes: Herschel Small, Patrick Carey (guitar); Jeffrey Cher (keyboards); Isaiah Taylor (bass); Colyn "Moe" Grant (drums); Anthony "Monks" Flowers (percussion); Michael Mangini (programming). <p>Producers include: Steve Greenberg, Desmond Child, Mark Hudson, Michael Mangini. <p>Engineers include: Luis Diaz, Skoti Elliot, Scott Gordon. <p>Principally recorded at Mojo Music, New York, New York and The Gentleman's Club, Miami Beach, Florida. <p>"Who Let The Dogs Out" won the 2001 Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording. <p>This is an Enhanced CD, which contains both regular audio tracks and multimedia computer files. <p>This album doesn't really fall into any predetermined category, which is part of what makes it interesting. It's a mix of island music (reggae, calypso, etc.), hip-hop beats, R&B production, and a pure pop aesthetic whose prime directive is unpretentious fun. The eight-strong team of producers' everything-but-the-kitchen-sink approach spares no expense and knows no boundaries. <p>Everything from the signature vocal cry of "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" ("You all dat") to the Baha Men's canine imitations (the undeniably infectious title track) is pressed into service. The ultimate goal here is to present a pure party album that will appeal to fans of pop, dancehall reggae, hip-hop, and R&B. That aim is unquestionably achieved, with a collection of songs whose hooks will take up permanent residence in your brain, whether you like it or not.

- Who Let the Dogs out

You guys need to LIGHTEN UP! I am an Early Childhood Music and Movement teacher and I am telling you that my kids absolutely love this song. It is just fun and funny and it lends it self to dramatic play and dancing. Get a grip people.

- I have no respect for the Baha Men

When Who Let the Dogs Out first started playing on the radio, I thought it was extremely funny that a band could come up with a song that was so stupid, but yet is so successful. Because of this, I had some respect for the band, but then I saw them in concert at Mardi Gras at Universal Studios. They don't play any instruments and they dance around while they sing. In other words, the Baha Men are a boy band. I didn't realize this before, but now that I know it, I have trouble listening to this cd because of my lack of respect for any boy bands. The only song that I could listen to straight though for a good laugh is Who Let the Dogs out. Don't waste your money...

- Grammy winners churn out another classic!

I must admit at first I wasn't a believer, but upon purchasing this album I must say I have never been this impressed. Grammy winners The Baha Men are one of the greatest bands of the last century, particularly thanks to their touching power-ballad "Who Let the Dogs Out?" Not only does it have infectuous dance beats and moving melodies, but it also asks a serious life's question: who DID let the dogs out? When I was nine I got chased by a huge dog that was almost as tall as me and since that day I have been wondering this question. I have not actually listened to any of the other songs on this album but since they won a Grammy I take it they are all good too.

Anyways, I'm going to go and roll around in the mud with an inflatable pig. Buy this album. I guarantee you will be satisfied. Hoo.
