- Amazing!

I bought this cd on a whim because of the songs Sexual Li Da Di and If You Could Read My Mind. This cd is absolutely amazing. I have listened to it over and over again and have not skipped a track. Every song sounds like a hit. Highlights include the two released songs, Above the Clouds, her current single, Love One Another, Without You, and Don't Wanna Stop. All get you movin and you need to crank it up when these songs are on. The other highlight is the sensual Spiritual Virginity. Amber sings like she's teasing you and it makes it all worth while. Buy this cd!

- Amber's sophmore effort shines brightly!

I loved this album and have been looking forward to it ever since I first heard the single "sexual" a few months back. Amber's vocals are rich and the lyrics on her songs touch the heart and soul on many levels. For example the opening single above the clouds touches on relationship issues and how loved ones with time heal all wounds, accompanied by a pulsating house beat, it really stays with you long after it's over. Weather it be her sultry voice on object of your desire or her sexy chanting on sexual she wants to be stuck in your mind with the hypnotic dance rhythms and sultry slow grooves on this excellent album. I encourage all to support this one as I believe it may be unitentionally overlooked with the politics of radio etc...ALL IN ALL VERY HIGHLY RECCOMMENDED

- Amber is DIVINE

Marvelous dance music! Amber's not Madonna or Cher, however she stands alone as a great dance diva. The standout tracks are Sexual, Above the Clouds, IF You Could Read My Mind (from the movie 54)& Without You. Amber is delicious ear candy!

- Amber is an incredible CD with varied songs.

This is a great CD. Amber's songs have lots of emotion and they are great to listen/dance to also. My favorite songs are: "Above the Clouds", "Love One Another", "Sexual (Li Da Di)", and "Don't Wanna Stop".

Be warned: This isn't a fast paced- dance club type CD that This is Your Night was. Some of the songs on this are slow and might be boring for you dance/techno fans. But songs like "Don't Wanna Stop" and "Let's Do It For Love" are very good for dancing.

The reason why it gets 4 stars is becuase the slow songs are too boring to my taste, and they stuck in a remixed version of Sexual (Li Da Di) which is kind of cheap if you ask me, I mean she could've made a new song to fill in that space. Overall, this is a great CD to buy if you're a fan of Amber and dancing music.

- Amber Blossoms & Struts With Emotional Maturity & Sensuality

Amber took the dance/pop world by storm with THIS IS YOUR NIGHT, riding the then popular euro/pop-driven wave. Don't let her trademark hit fool you! Amber blossoms with her 2nd self-titled CD. Amber's voice is strong and full. But she also has the gift of vocal stylings that allows her to shift from powerful roar to airy whisper. Her phrasing is awesome, and her vocal technique is probably underestimated because of the genre of music she sings. But the lyrics on this CD are full of emotional maturity, sensuality, and spirituality. From the songs, you can sense that Amber is well-grounded and knows herself. Amber co-wrote nearly all the songs on the CD. Although some of the lyrics lack natural flow, they are penetrating, inspiring, and insightful. Songs written with master-songwriters, Billy Steinberg and Rick Nowels, are breath-taking (i.e., Sexual and Love One Another). I'M FREE is an amazing song, featuring Amber's powerful and soulful voice backed by simple piano arrangement. This is a highly impressive CD, and probably one of the best dance/pop CDs of 1999. Give Amber a listen, and forget the confines of pop/dance music. Amber takes dance pop to a new art-form.
