- Amber Has Done It Again

Okay so by now if you haven't heard the song "This Is Your Night" by Amber. If not what rock have you been hiding under? Anyway by now we all know who Amber (a.k.a Marie Clair Cremers) is. With the success of her debut album "This Is Your Night" just starting to die down this Dutch Dance Diva is back to rule the airwaves and dancefloors once again. The songs on this album are different than on her first album in many ways. For example, most of the lyrics on this album were written by Amber herself and not by writers who don't know her so these songs are more personal and aren't all about the same thing. Also the music is more mature in a sense-it's not your basic formulatic dance pop sound. The songs on this album are emotionally moving and will stir the senses. The songs on the album are amazing and Amber finally shows off the versitality of her voice. In "Above The Clouds" you'll hear an almost tribal drum beat mixed in with strings, piano, and acoustic guitar. The lyrics make almost too much sense and are about a relationship that has had its ups and downs but through all of it they've managed to stay together. The song "Love One Another", however takes a complete left hand turn. The music itself is dance, but, the lyrics are about the major social issues of war, racism, and prejudice. The Stars On 54 track featuring Jocelyn Enriquez and Ultra Nate is an out right Dance/Disco track that will get anybody on the dancefloor. The song "Sexual (Li Da Di)" is another one of thos dance tracks that is sure to get anyone moving and the remix is also good. "How Can I Tell You" is a good song but is different from the rest of the dance songs on the album. The music is more of a pop/dance/rock sound. The best way I can describe it is if Ace Of Base's song "Lucky Love" ran headlong into "Another Night" from Real MCcoy you'd have this song. There are a few ballads on the album "If I'm Not The One" and "I'm Free". "If I'm Not The One" is your basic girl meets boy, girl falls in love with boy, boy doesn't love girl and leaves her type of song, but the way Amber sings on the track saves it and makes it one of those power ballads that you can't ever get away from. Basically you should get this album. It will definately stay in your CD player for months.
