Aaron Carter Album: “Aaron's Party (Come Get It)”
Description :
Personnel includes: Aaron Carter (vocals); John Bertche (guitar, keyboards); Johnny Gale (guitar, bass); Tony Battaglia, Paul Gendler (guitar); Mike Rose (keyboards, programming, background vocals); Nick Foster (keyboards, programming); Joey Argiro (bass); Jimmy Bralower (drums, percussion); Billy Ashbaugh (drums); Gary Carolla (programming); Donna Groom, Jeff Jimmerson, Rif St. Michael, B.J. Nelson, Biti Strauchn, James "D-Train" Williams, Kelli Glover, John Liston, Daria Reed, Timmy Allen (background vocals).
Producers include: Wade Robson, Brian Kierulf, Joah Schwartz, Timmy Allen, Steve Mac.
Engineers include: Paul Umbach, Gary Carolla, Chris Laws.
Somewhere amid the wave of success enjoyed by teen acts such as Britney Spears and 'N Sync, someone realized that you didn't have to be a nubile young girl or a harmony group to appeal to the teen and (especially) pre-teen audiences. Hence the arrival of (extremely) young pop star Aaron Carter. Carter strives to be all things to all people on this album.
Many of the themes on AARON'S PARTY are squarely aimed at kids ("That's How I Beat Shaq," "My Internet Girl," and the title tune), but there's bait thrown in for the older set as well. The latter comes in the form of classic pop tunes from the past redone with a modern sheen ("I Want Candy," "Iko Iko"). Carter even takes a crack at Motown soul on "Tell Me What You Want." Many of the most successful cuts find him forsaking singing in favor of jubilant kid-rap, but both modes will appeal to those in search of fresh-faced fun.

- I've never heard anything so awful out of Jive Records.....

Oh My God. I have never heard anything so awful out of Jive Records. Let me say I am a huge Britney fan, a huge *NSYNC fan, and I enjoy the music of Steps, and the Backstreet boys, all assigned to Jive's Label. Actually, I don't own this CD. But I've heard every song one place or another. For the first song (Come Get It) He thinks he's so cool being a rapper and having a rodeo in his house. The best part is when he's grounded. The next one (I Want Candy) is a stupid song about some kid wanting cavities. No, it's not about that, but I have no sweet tooth for Aaron. In (Bounce) He thinks that he's in the '60's and '70's because he's disco-ing (Turn Up Da Disco, Bongo With Me) There's (That's How I Beat Shaq) Oh please. A little 13 Year Old Beating Shaq at basketball. AND THEN SHAQ CRIES!? No, I think not Aaron. I think you need to stop singing about a crowd going "Jam" and putting in the hoop and like "Slam" How about "Iko Iko" Baby Music. At least the---oh, yes, that song "THE CLAPPING SONG" lol. What a STUPID name for a STUPID song by a STUPID "singer" that puts out STUPID "music" Let me say that Negative 1234 stars is what the monster deserves.

- You're kidding me, right?

If your over the age of 12... then this is definitely not a CD for you. Filled with remakes of 50s/60s songs and a few new "jams", this CD makes you laugh more than anything else. Aaron Carter is a product of his record company. He has no say whatsoever as to what he sings or how the music sounds. Basically they hand him a sheet, say "sing this", and he does it. They ask him to smile... snap a few photos... go on a few TV shows and WHAM! your a star. There are a lot more harder working musicians who you should spend you money on. Let Aaron grow up and then maybe he should try again.

- I'm not going to aaron's party!

Perfect CD for a 5 year old's birthday party. The songs are so cheesy that you feel sorry for Aaron. He has no talent and his voice sounds like a girl. Why did Nick bother getting him a record deal? If Nick wasn't famous nobody would've thought twice about giving Aaron a record deal. I mean, GET REAL.

- wont the carter's let one of their kids finish high school?

Wow. What a waste. I'll start off by saying this cd should be in the dollar store under the coaster section. Aaron has no talent (yet, even though I hate pop music), his lyrics are aweful, and they should've at least waited for him to hit puberty before they let him start singing(don't get me started on his rapping "skillz"). I'm not bashing young rock stars (Billy Gilman can actually sing pretty good), but Aaron's voice is like the sound barrier being broken 3 feet away from your ears. If you like Rap/Hip-Hop try Jurassic 5, Black Eyed Peas, and Wu Tang. And even if you like BSB or other boybands, you'll probably still think this is a steaming load.
